Why is there a lack of education in our valley?

The biggest reason for the lack of education in our valley is that the parents of our area are themselves unfamiliar with education. Those parents who are educated have moved to the cities, and after educating their own children there, they don't return to their area.

But a respected woman from Chanjah turned back to her own region and drew attention to the education of girls here. She opened a school in our village, where girls are receiving free education. In this way, the problem of education for poor children has also been solved.

May Allah help them in this noble step. Ameen.

Why is there a lack of education in our community?

The biggest issue with the lack of education in our valley is poverty and the absence of educational facilities. Parents' lack of interest is also a major obstacle — most give more importance to household matters than to learning.

Especially in our area, where most people's livelihood comes from farming, dairy, or handicrafts, education has long taken second place.

Fortunately, the 'Bradrie' organization came to our area and made an excellent addition in the field of education — a true blessing that opened doors that would otherwise have stayed closed.

Lack of education in our area

In our valley, declining circumstances and rising poverty have made education hard to reach. Many parents themselves don't understand the value of schooling, and so the children don't see it as a priority either.

I have been connected with Bradrie Chanjah for years now, contributing what I can each month. Through Bradrie, education has been arranged for some of the poorest children of this area — children whose families could not have afforded school books, let alone fees.

The work being done here is the kind that gives a village hope.

Why is there a lack of education in our valley?

The establishment of the Girls High School in Chanjah by the Bradrie Foundation is a most excellent step. It will prove to be a milestone in changing the fortune of this area.

In the entire region between Lora and Havelian — except for Lora and Jaba Gali — there is no other girls' high school. As a result, the girls of our valley have long been deprived of education. Even when the government established a girls' school somewhere, the absence of female teachers meant the schools could not function.

The reasons for the lack of education in our valley are:

  1. Lack of education among parents
  2. Poverty and destitution
  3. Lack of educational facilities
  4. Distance from religion
  5. Government apathy

Why is there a lack of education in our valley?

If we talk about the lack of education in our valley, the biggest reason has been our area's geography — distant and hard to reach.

The second reason is the illiteracy of parents. If the mother is educated, the daughter too will be raised well.

A third reason is the lack of resources available for children's education.

The only path to ending the gap in our region is the establishment of a Girls High School. And today, Bradrie High School Chanjah has given us tremendous joy. The school's building is enviable — its classrooms and offices each 12x12 feet, meeting the standards children deserve.

Why is there a lack of education in our valley?

The biggest reason is distance from education, and poverty. Children are put to work from a very young age, and their minds get diverted from learning to household chores. They lose interest in studies altogether.

Another reason is that parents are uneducated themselves and don't know the value of education — so how can they encourage their children to learn?

A third reason is the poor quality of the schools that do exist. Children are not taught the way they deserve. If teachers took real interest in students' learning, the standard of education could be raised.

But now, there is hope that education will progress. Many people are working to end the lack of education.

Thank you.
